Social Darwinism: the New eh, Social Darwinism
The emergence of National Socialist style ideas in the UK and Ireland within the last five years is a massive indictment of the failure of democracy, political imagination and policy confidence on these islands. Both states now have right-wing coalition governments operating what is ostensibly an rearmaments programme for banks and financial institutions to 'restore confidence' and 'pride'. No doubt to unleash a Blitzkreig of Cheap Credit on the middle classes.
Both governments are gradually privatising social and public services to massive conglomerates such as SERCO and G4S in much the same way the Nazi outsourced services to IG Farban and Krupps.
The treatment of the disabled and poor is particularly worrying. In the UK the policy is moving towards 'removal' of the problem by incremental impoverishment tactics, while in Ireland deportation - via emigration - is standard policy once more. A Transfer Agreement of sorts sending the nation's 'undesirables' (young unemployed people under 30) to Australia.
Both Governments have declared that the poor have no automatic right to exist in their present state as they are now to be constantly portrayed as sub human on TV programmes and media reports. Repulsive polemics of pure propaganda made by individuals fortunate enough to not have been raised on council estates ravaged by unemployment. Unemployment brought about - in all probability - by the fathers of these same class-ridden TV producers and journalists who 'outsourced' the local industries to the East in the first place. Which is precisely what took place in the Weimar Republic in the 1920's when wealthy German industrialists moved factories and production into Czechoslovakia and Hungary.
Both countries are expanding east wards (psychologically) by incorporating large Polish and other Eastern European 'cheap labour' populations into their administrative boarders. A kind of Lebensraum acting more like a vacuum cleaner than a net.
Like the Nazis, both governments are developing oil and petroleum sectors on their soil: Fracking.
The old scratched record folks. Just Business.
Thomas Sheridan is an independent alternative artist, author, satirist, musician, public speaker, broadcaster and researcher currently based in the West of Ireland. His illustrations have appeared on the covers of newsstand magazines, books and websites worldwide.
The Anvil of the Psyche is considered a vital manual for personal and social survival in a world controlled by greed and false hopes. Thomas' writings and interviews have evolutionised people to build a firewall around their own psyche and not to be lured into handing over personal independence to an exterior collective or guru. As a result, his NO CONTACT EVER AGAIN philosophy applied to controlling individuals and groups has made Thomas an enemy of mind-controlled death cults and neo-Nazi fringe groups. Thomas has also been featured in several films and documentaries.
